Membership Advisory Panel

Objectives

The objectives of the Membership Advisory Panel are:

  1. to support the vision of the Board and Management of the Club. In doing so they will assist the management team undertake their job by providing support and communication between management and the membership.
  2. to the extent possible, and allowed under the constitution and rules, they provide a member’s voice to the Board and Management, and that the rights of members are considered and protected going forward.

The Panel are appointed by the Directors of the club in accordance with the Rules of the Club. The aim of the appointment process is to provide a diverse, balanced and representative view of the membership of the club.

Function

The Panel can make suggestions and recommendations as may be deemed appropriate and necessary from time to time on various aspects of the Club, such as its facilities, services, and activities. This will be done so that suggestions can be considered and acted on, as deemed appropriate.

Member complaints and suggestions

Members are encouraged to submit all complaints and suggestions, in writing, to feedback@terreyhillsgolf.com.au

Caroline Forbes

Caroline has been a member at Terrey Hills since 2020 although she was first introduced to the club in 2015 when she organised a golf event for the parents of Queenwood School. This was the first time she ever hit a golf ball!

Since then, Caroline has enjoyed her time as a Terrey Hills Member due to the inclusiveness of being able play on any day and any tee. One of her favourite events has been the monthly Tiger Tee Challenge where there is the ability to invite guests and share our challenging course with them. Caroline loves playing with people who like to have fun and will share a good laugh.

Christina Lee

Christina has been a member at Terrey Hills since 2015. Being relatively new to golf she enjoys the natural beauty of the course and appreciates that even on a bad day it’s a great place for a walk.

Christina finds the overall friendliness of both staff and members at the club appealing. She is excited to have an opportunity to contribute to this culture and assist with improving the experience for everyone.

Glen Howard

Glen has been a member at Terrey Hills since 2007. He’s been playing golf for 40 years since the age of 12 and has been an enthusiastic member of golf clubs in NSW, Queensland and Singapore.

Glen has been a pennant player, played Vardon and other amateur events both in Australia and Asia, and hopes to use this experience to make a meaningful contribution to our club.

Marcus Gibson

Marcus Gibson is a passionate golfer and dedicated member of Terrey Hills Golf Club since 2005. With a strong background in competitive play, he has competed in elite amateur events around the globe.

Marcus is excited for the opportunity to contribute to the advisory panel, helping to further establish Terrey Hills as one of Sydney’s premier golf clubs.

 

Phil McCarroll

Phil has been a member of Terrey Hills since 2001. He has served the club in various capacities for more than 12 years including being Club Captain for the past 2 years. Phil is a member of the WAGS and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of the course and the culture of the club.

He enjoys playing with different golfing groups and regularly plays with new members to gain feedback and perspective on ways to improve the club. Phil is extremely passionate about how Terrey Hills is represented in the Australian Golfing Community and the experience provided to members.

Rob Lord

Rob has been a member at Terrey Hills since 2012. He enjoys his golf and plays regularly on a Wednesday with the WASPS group and on a Saturday with the Pinot group, and occasionally on other days.

He has served the interests of the club with his own time since 2022 and has represented the club at both Masters Pennants and Interclub competitions. He has featured in various board events including being Senior Club champion (2021), a winner of the Gross Eclectic (2021) and the Brian Petit plate (2022).

Vincent Nair

Vincent has been a member at Terrey Hills since 2017. As a successful global business leader in the technology sector, Vincent’s love for golf stretches into partnering with the PGA of Australia and the European Tour to organise the very successful Fiji International PGA championship held from 2014 to 2018.
